The mic mounts on the front surface of the guitar just inside the sound hole. This placement results in excellent isolation from the singer, and high volume before feedback occurs. A Soundhole Clip is supplied for mounting.
A mic mounted inside the sound hole normally sounds boomy, but the frequency response of the Guitar Mic rolls off in the low frequencies to compensate. The result is a natural, non-boomy tone. That roll-off is in a circuit inside the XLR connector.
Because the Guitar Mic has a permanently attached 8-foot XLR cable, there's no need to drill a hole in your guitar for an endpin jack. The mic requires 12-48V phantom power which most mixers provide.
